The weather’s changing. You can taste it in the crabapple tang on the dry wind ripping through the land. All around me colleagues and loved ones are showing early signs of seasonal depletion- mouth ulcers, stubborn sore throats, and styes in the eye.

In this first collective practice, we bless ‘the creature’ and call on the power of stillness and introspection to recharge the energy reservoir of the kidneys. The practice leaves space to contemplate the season ahead, feeling into how best we might adapt effectively, slow down, and huddle with our community.

The yoga nidra is an invitation to merge into a recognition of our essence as not limited to enshrinement in this self, but radiating and porous to the greater body of belonging and to life’s mystery. We draw in, build and recycle energy from the land we’re enmeshed with.

I hope it serves you well.
